SAVAGE – is a Suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul and is located 15 miles south-southwest of downtown Minneapolis in Scott County in Minnesota. Savage is situated on the south bank of the Minnesota River covering a total area of 16.45 sq. miles. The population of Savage was 26,911 at the 2010 census. Once a shipbuilding port for the US Navy, Savage is now an industrial manufacturing job center in the southern metro. The City is still relatively undeveloped, with sections of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Murphy- Hanrehan Park Reserve within its border.
